If products do not meet regulatory requirements, automotive manufacturers have to redesign, recertify, and retest, which undoubtedly greatly increases unnecessary man-hours and development costs. CAVA is a compliance design software for overall layout co-developed by Technia and German automotive manufacturers, aimed at ensuring that designs meet the requirements of different international regulations and standards throughout the development process.
Simple and easy to use
CAVA provides a complete set of user-friendly regulatory verification functions, with over 40 regulations covering aspects such as mirrors, visibility areas, seat belts, ground clearance, headlight positions, and pedestrian protection. Each regulation includes one or more standards, such as ECE, EWG, SAE, FMVSS, GB, etc. These standards are embedded in CAVA, allowing users to easily manage and call them, and set their own corporate standards as needed.
Design integration
CAVA can help us do two things. First, create geometric expressions of regulatory standards, showing design boundaries, gap areas, and visibility areas for concept design and detailed design; second, verify design results against the geometric expressions of regulatory standards. Therefore, CAVA is suitable for the entire automotive development process.
- Provide design boundary conditions during the concept design phase;
- Automatically verify regulations throughout the design process and record deviations between design and regulations;
- Confirm that design results meet standard requirements and output the necessary reports.
Support global development processes
CAVA's architecture supports global development processes, including collaborative development with suppliers.
